Hormone Health in Food Form

Essential for women 16+, we crafted the Women’s Health Box with our Medical Advisory Board to replenish the micronutrients and vitamins that women most often lack, and provide them in the most bioavailable and delicious form: Food.

The Main Cause of Hormone Imbalance: Nutrient Deficiency

Period health is so important that many doctors consider it the fifth vital sign. Too many women suffer from painful or missing periods, thyroid issues, mood swings, hormonal acne, bloating and headaches.

Many of these symptoms stem from hormone imbalance caused by nutrient deficiency.

That's why we identified the nutrients that most women are depleted in - such as iron, magnesium and zinc - and worked with our Medical Advisory Board, food scientists and top chefs to create healing foods specifically designed to replenishing those essential nutrients.

We crafted the Women's Health Box to serve as your complete daily multivitamin in food form to:

✅ Replenish essential nutrients your body needs to function

✅ Naturally balance your hormone levels for happier cycles (👋 period peace)

✅ Support stress relief for energized days

✅ Encourage effective digestion + 💩

Formulated For You By Our Medical Advisory Board

We carefully crafted each product in this box together with the experts on our Medical Advisory Board to ensure each is packed with nutrients to support hormone balance, digestion, immunity and sleep.  We work with them through all stages of product development, from identifying ingredients they recommend to final product approval.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies

The flax and psyllium in these cookies contain micronutrients such as potassium, magnesium, and zinc, that support hydration, improve digestion and are packed with protein to satiate hunger. They also support regular elimination, to rid the body of excess estrogen and alleviate uncomfortable symptoms.

For best effect: Eat 1 cookie when experiencing digestive issues.

Organic gluten-free rolled oats, brewer's yeast, organic flax seed, organic hemp seeds, organic psyllium husk, Himalayan pink sea salt, organic coconut oil, organic coconut sugar, organic millet flour, organic dark chocolate chips (organic unsweetened chocolate, organic coconut palm sugar, organic cocoa butter), organic vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cocoa, flax, and pumpkin seeds are rich in iron, zinc, and magnesium, which are critical for healthy hormone balance. More specifically, the high iron content helps replenish red blood cells the endocrine system needs to keep hormones balanced. Plus they are great to satisfy chocolate cravings.

For Best Effect: Eat 1 cookie while on your period, or 2-3 during moments when sweets are craved most.

Organic rice flour, organic ashwagandha powder, organic shatavari powder, organic pumpkin seeds, organic flax seeds, organic psyllium husk, organic coconut sugar, organic coconut oil, organic cocoa powder, organic dark chocolate chips (organic unsweetened chocolate, organic coconut palm sugar, organic cocoa butter), organic vanilla extract, pink Himalayan sea salt

Cinnamon Maca Seasoning

Flax in this seasnoning contains lignans, which enhances the production of estrogen needed to support the follicular (first half) of the ovulation cycle.

For Best Effect : Eat 1 TBS per day during days 1-14 of your cycle

Coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, coconut sugar, cinnamon, cocoa powder, maca powder, sea salt, ashwagandha, cardamom, nutmeg

For Best Effect: Eat 1 TBS per day during days 15-28 of your cycle.

Sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, black sesame seeds, coconut flakes, sea salt, nori flakes, sumac, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, turmeric, dried shiitake powder

Peppermint Chasteberry Tea

Chasteberry (also called Vitex) reduces prolactin, which helps regulate progesterone and estrogen for more regular periods. It is also known to decrease cystic acne. Brahmi and red clover provide isoflavones and flavonoids that support cognitive health and Shatavari contains anti-inflammatory properties and is traditionally used to balance hormones. Peppermint and amalaki help to regulate excess heat in the body which can imbalance hormones.

For Best Effect: Drink every other day as part of your morning or evening ritual. Chilled or hot.

Organic shatavari, organic amalaki, organic chasteberry, organic brahmi, organic red clover, organic cinnamon, organic peppermint

Great flavors! Finally got my period after 4 months.

I have mild PCOS and go 3-5 months without my period. We want baby #2 and I’m 36 years old. Two weeks after getting my Box, my ovulation strip finally came out positive, and 2 weeks later my period came (after 4 months of neither!). I eat a spoonful of the cinnamon maca and a chocolate cookie every morning with my lemon water. Nori seasoning with my avocado & salads at lunch time! Thanks for great products!

Cookies as a supplement :D

These are some of the best gluten free and dairy free cookies I've ever had! They are pricey but worth it. I always feel like I'm treating myself by eating them and don't feel bad about it at all because they're so healthy! For anyone skeptical on trying because of the price, I see it as a supplement. Who doesn't love getting their nutrients through cookies?!

Convenient and Delicious!

“So much deliciousness and flavor in one small box! This set contains everything that I need to feel balanced for the entire month without having to follow a difficult plan. Just sprinkle over what I eat and I’m good to go. Couldn’t be easier and I am already noticing an improvement in only a couple short months.”

Healing Foods by Women For Women

We are a small, but mighty women-founded and run team. We work with medical advisors from Western, Integrative, Ayurvedic, and Traditional Medicine, as well as Herbalism and Nutrition. Everything you taste has been obsessively perfected by us, our medical advisors, food scientists and top chefs. We always use the best ingredients available, and we leave out anything that’s processed or unnecessary.

The Complete Women's Health Box

The Complete Women's Health Box contains all micronutrients, vitamins and minerals needed to support healthy hormone balance, digestion, sleep and immunity.

What types of ingredients are in your products?

We only use the best available, whole ingredients and leave out anything unnecessary. We never use nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, or ingredients that have been genetically engineered, though our production facilities sometimes do. Even the brewer's yeast we use in the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie is gluten-free. How? Brewer’s yeast is typically grown on barley and therefore contains trace amounts of gluten, but we use a brewer’s yeast that is grown on beets. We also always choose organic when that's an option. We only let you taste things that we're obsessed with ourselves, and we hope you love them as much as we do. If you have questions about our ingredients, please reach out to us at support@agniforall.com

Are your products certified organic?

Our cookies and teas have 100% organic ingredients. As of August 2020, 50% of our seasonings have certified organic ingredients and we are working on getting to 100! Our seasonings are trickier because we use a lot of speciality ingredients. These are often grown on smaller farms that practice organic farming, but do not necessarily have the financial or operational bandwidth to get organic certified.

Are your products gluten-free?

All of our products are free of gluten. For our Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, we source a special type of Brewer’s Yeast (usually grown on wheat) that has been grown on beets to ensure there are no trace elements of gluten for anyone who is sensitive or intolerant to gluten.

Are your products allergen-free?

All of our products are free from the most common allergens, including milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, and soybeans. Our cookies are packaged in a facility that handles tree nuts.

Are your products non-GMO?

All of our products are made with non-GMO ingredients. We strive to never use any ingredient that has been genetically modified.

Are your products vegan?

All of our products are 100% vegan. We do not use any animal-derived ingredients, such as milk, eggs, or whey protein in our products.

Why do you use coconut sugar in some of your products?

Coconut sugar is a natural sweetener made from drying the sap of the coconut palm and grinding it into crystals. We love it because it has a much lower glycemic index than cane sugar (35 vs. 50) and includes many micronutrients (including potassium, magnesium, and zinc) that support hydration, digestion, and other vital functions. We prefer using coconut sugar to any artificial or refined sweeteners, and think that balanced sweetness makes certain foods taste awesome. When things taste good, they make us feel good which is also important for our health.

Are your products perishable?

All of our products are shelf stable. To maximize shelf life and quality, please store our products in a dark, cool place. The cookies taste freshest if enjoyed within six weeks of purchase. They have a safe shelf life of one year, but they’ll probably disappear long before then :)

Do you complete clinical trials on your products before releasing them?

We are very passionate about getting people access to nutrient-dense foods that can support them through life moments. We are also grateful that our society already has a wealth of insight and research around science-backed foods that can help specific recovery processes. We’re starting by tapping into these existing studies (and experts) so that we can get these foods out into the world. Over time, we’re excited to gather enough resources to complete trials of our own. For now, here’s a little more detail about how we ensure we (and our Medical Advisory Board) feel great about recommending everything we create:

When we create products, we select ingredients that have already been studied and have demonstrated efficacy for the desired use case. For example, flax seeds have been shown to support healthy menstrual cycles. In this case, the study on a food's efficacy has already been completed on our behalf.

(2) There is significantly less research completed on whole food ingredients (they are not patentable, so there’s not much incentive for anyone to fund these) as well as a lack of research studying women’s health needs. While the scientific community catches up on both fronts, we turn to biochemistry and physiology to understand the impacts of certain compounds and ingredients on our bodies. This means understanding a certain truth or pathway in the body and how a substance reliably interacts with it. For example, it is known that a category of foods called galactagogues (these include oats, flax, brewer’s yeast, fennel, and fenugreek) reliably stimulate prolactin and positively impact breast milk supply. There are no randomized controlled trials completed on this effect to date, but our understanding of these ingredients and their interaction with hormones confirms this effect.

What if I don't seed cycle and instead use both seasonings throughout the month?

Alternating seeds throughout the month can provide targeted benefits for hormone balance. However, simply adding these seeds to your diet at any time of the month can still support healthy hormone balance as well as other key functions like immune function, sleep, and digestion.

Are your product safe to consume during pregnancy?

Our Medical Advisors feel that all of our products are safe for pregnant women (our CEO & Co-founder Astrid recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and often consumed Agni foods and teas during her pregnancy!).

The two ingredients we highlight when discussing/recommending these products to pregnant women are ashwagandha and shatavari (in the Tulsi Cinnamon Tea & in the Double Chocolate Chip Cookies). There are extremely limited studies on (1) pregnant women and (2) herbs, so it is possible to come across statements online like "there is no evidence that ashwagandha/shatavari is safe for pregnant women" when in reality, no clinical trials exist. Both of these herbs have a long history of consumption by pregnant women across the world for millennia. That said, we would encourage you, as with any product, to do what feels best for your body.

We will be coming out with a Prenatal Box soon in 2021 specifically tailored for pregnancy, but in the interim we highly recommend the Cinnamon Maca and Sesame Nori seasonings. They’re a great way to boost micronutrients in any meal made at home!
