Agni’s Better Periods Box is a curated offering of foods and tea filled with nutrients that support balanced hormones and therefore healthy, regular, pain-free cycles. The ingredients inside were also chosen to support healthy digestion, which is foundational to absorbing the nutrients needed for healthy hormone balance.
How will these foods impact my cycle?
These products were created in tandem with our Medical Advisory Board based on traditional practices for supporting healthy, regular, pain-free menstruation and ovulation as well as on emerging research showing that ingredients like flax seeds may support hormonal balance. Several of our customers have reported improved period symptoms, more regular ovulation, or being able to conceive after incorporating our products. However, these products are not intended to treat or cure disease, and they have not been studied for efficacy. As always, we recommend consulting a health provider you trust about a comprehensive plan for your specific health needs and goals.
Can I eat these foods if I’m on birth control?
Yes! All of the ingredients in these products are safe, common plants and seeds that you might already have in your kitchen and will not interfere with your current birth control method.
If I’m trying to avoid getting pregnant will these make me hyper-fertile?
Fertility can be a good proxy for how nourished, rested, and balanced the body is. Anything you do to stay healthy (e.g. getting restful sleep, eating nutrient dense meals, meditating, exercising) can impact your fertility (and make you more fertile!) This doesn’t mean that you will suddenly get pregnant, especially if you are already using an effective form of contraception. If you are tracking your cycle to avoid getting pregnant, be mindful that any significant changes in lifestyle can change the date of your ovulation and thus shift the window in which you need to avoid unprotected sex.
